The Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands has published today on its website the provisional lists of applications admitted and excluded in the extraordinary selection procedures for teacher stabilization.
Specifically, the lists are for entry through the competition-opposition system in the bodies of Teachers, Secondary School teachers, Official Schools of Languages, Plastic Arts and Design and Specialists in singular sectors of Vocational Training (FP ), as well as Teachers of Plastic Arts and Design Workshop, convened by Order of November 21, 2022.
The period for claims and corrections will run from tomorrow, Wednesday, June 21, until July 4.
In the case of Masters and Teachers, a total of 12,539 applications (11,849 admitted and 690 excluded) have been registered in seven specialties. Of these, 3,578 (3,374 admitted and 204 excluded) correspond to Early Childhood Education, 294 (283 admitted and 11 excluded) to Foreign Language (French), 1,482 (1,406 admitted and 76 excluded) to Physical Education, 553 (527 admitted and 26 excluded). ) to Music, 1,816 (1,731 admitted and 85 excluded) to Special Education, 372 (356 admitted and 16 excluded) to Hearing and Language, and 4,444 (4,172 admitted and 272 excluded) to Primary.
Secondary and other bodies applications reach 15,188 (13,993 admitted and 1,195 excluded) in 47 specialties. Of this total, 368 (349 admitted and 19 excluded) correspond to Philosophy, 16 (12 admitted and four excluded) to Greek, 90 (84 admitted and six excluded) to Latin, 1,136 (1,073 admitted and 63 excluded) to Spanish Language and Literature, 1,221 (1,156 admitted and 65 excluded) Geography and History, 1,446 (1,367 admitted and 79 excluded) to Mathematics, 940 (898 admitted and 42 excluded) to Biology and Geology, 685 (613 admitted and 72 excluded) to Drawing, 358 (336 admitted and 22 excluded) to French, 1,423 (1,352 admitted and 71 excluded) to English, and 136 (127 admitted and nine excluded) to German.

The applications received in Manufacture and Installation of Carpentry and Furniture add up to 69 (61 admitted and 8 excluded), in Welding 56 (50 approved and 6 denied), in Hairdressing 88 (75 and 13), Aesthetics 145 (121 admitted and 24 excluded). , and Cooking and Pastry 248 (214 and 34). In relation to the places in Language Schools, a total of 414 applications were received for English (383 admitted and 31 excluded), 73 for German (65 and 8 respectively) and 40 for Italian (38 and 2).
The places corresponding to the teaching staff of the conservatories have been excluded since the Governing Council approved last Thursday, June 15, the Decree by which Decree 200/2022, of October 27, which modifies the job offer, is rectified additional public sector for the stabilization of the temporary employment of teaching staff from non-university public centers for 2022, in order to deduct from this a total of 94 places in the Conservatories of Music of the Canary Islands to comply with the Budget Law after the favorable opinion of the Consultative Council of the Canary Islands before the consultation raised by the Canary Islands Executive in relation to this matter as a consequence of the demands of a group of teachers of these teaching bodies.
PLACES OFFERED
The selective stabilization procedures for teaching staff corresponding to the competitive examination system will take place in 2024 and involve the offer of 1,145 places.
In total, there are 696 posts for Secondary School teachers and other bodies that are distributed among 574 of the Secondary School teaching staff, 40 of the Official Language Schools, 29 of Plastic Arts and Design, 51 specialists in Singular Sectors of Vocational Training , and two for teachers of Workshop, Plastic Arts and Design.
It also covers the offer of another 449 places for entry into the body of teachers through this same system (opposition competition). By specialties, this block includes 133 places for Infants, 27 for Foreign Language (French), the same number for Physical Education, 75 for Music, 98 for Special Education-Therapeutic Pedagogy, 33 for Special Education-Hearing and Language, and 56 for Primary.
