TikTok user Mario Guarch (@marioguarch) has shared a video showing the impressive Lord Howe’s fig tree located in the La Orotava Acclimatization Garden, known as Botanical Garden.
As he explains Government of the Canary Islandsit is endemic to the Australian island of Lord Howe, 20,000 kilometers from Tenerife and located in the South Pacific.
His name is Ficus macrophyllaof the subspecies columnaris and especially this emblematic one is 30 meters high and has large aerial roots that start from the stem, forming a system of columns that help to support it.
The most curious thing is that it is very difficult to distinguish which is the main trunk from the rest. Although it was possible before, the public is no longer allowed to approach the foot of the tree.
