The socialist candidacy led the most voted list in the last municipal elections held on May 28, reaching a total of 13 councilors. It is followed by the Canary Islands Coalition with five councilors, while the Popular Party, Vox and United Sí Podemos remain with one councilor for each political party.

“It is an important day for Adeje, I want to congratulate the group of councilors already constituted by transmitting to them that this is a City Council that is going to work for the common good from the perspective of diversity, where everyone has a place because we all have the common objective of improving the people’s lives,” he said in a statement.
