The plenary of the inauguration of the new Municipal Corporation of Tacoronte It will be this Wednesday, June 21 at 11:00 a.m., as the acting mayor of the municipality, José Daniel Díaz Armas (Nueva Canarias), has just confirmed to EL DlA.
This plenary session had to be delayed due to the challenge raised by CC to the decision of the electoral board to accept 283 votes initially declared null to Vox, in addition to the resignation of the first two candidates from the Yes we can list. Thanks to those votes accepted after the scrutiny, Vox obtained a mayor at the expense of the nationalists, who went from 5 to 4.
PSOE, CC and PP have reached a three-way pact that will give the mayoralty to the socialist Sandra Izquierdo, who will be the first female mayor of Tacoronte starting this Wednesday. The five councilors of her will have the support of the 4 of CC and the 3 of the PP, who total 12, one above the absolute majority. Nueva Canarias (4), Somos Tacoronte (2), C’s (1), Vox (1) and SSP (1) will make up the opposition.
