A new appointment with the theater at the Círculo de Amistad XII de Enero and a new appointment with ‘El foot left’, after the success of the public at the premiere last week. El Recreo has once again programmed the play this Sunday, June 18, at 7:00 p.m., in the social theater of the capital’s headquarters on Ruiz de Padrón street, with free admission until full capacity is reached.

The staging will also be the responsibility of the society’s theater group called ‘Amistad’, under the direction of Gerardo Fuentes Pérez. ‘The Left Foot’ is a one-act comedy by Carlos Arniches (1866-1943) and Celso Lucio (1865-1915).
Arniches, playwright of the Generation of ’98, wrote a realistic work on this occasion, with a series of protagonists (the night owl, the lame man, the woman, the soldier, the prostitutes…), framed in a vaudeville tone. and sitcom, where confusion and misunderstanding are very present. Celso Lucio was a collaborator of Carlos Arniches in short scripts, serve as an example the aforementioned creation with which the Friendship Theater Group will once again delight the audience.
