The Investigating Court Number 2 of La Laguna has decreed the provisional dismissal and the filing of the complaint filed by Alfredo Gómez Álvarez, at that time Councilor for Transparency in the La Laguna City Council, for alleged “hand contracts” ordered from the City Council of La Laguna after having pointed out the mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez. It was later joined by Francisco José Hernández Rodríguez and José Jonathan Domínguez Roger, both from Coalición Canaria.
Gómez Álvarez, who came to describe the situation as a “customer network”, said he had “studied” the costs of “at least” 100 contracts. In the brief of the Investigating Court Number 2, it is evident that some of the data of Alfredo Gómez Álvarez, such as some presumed kinship relationships, are directly false.
“Analyzing the participation of each of the defendants according to the account set forth in the complaint, we will begin with the Mayor, Mr. Gutiérrez Pérez: having examined all the decrees provided, as allegedly criminal, there is no record of any signed by him”, appears collected, before point out that those approved by Yaiza López come “with a favorable report and proposals for adjudication” and for non-division.
In cases such as that of Badel Albelo, also denounced for an alleged contract signed in favor of a person close to him, the letter is once again blunt: there is no type of signed contract or agreement.
Finally, the letter is clear when it manifests itself on the accusations of “finger contracts” made by Alfredo Gómez Álvarez: “In the opinion of this investigating body, the administrative praxis has not been deviated in any of the signed contracts and, therefore, in the respective decrees.
