The president of the Permanent Deputation of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Gustavo Matos, has definitively closed this Wednesday the X Legislature in the Canary Islands, which “will go down in history” due to the multitude of events that have occurred since 2019, especially the health pandemic and the volcanic eruption on La Palma.
“It has been an honor and a privilege”, he commented as a summary of the work of the Parliamentary Bureau at the conclusion of the last session of the Permanent Deputation in which, among other things, the decree law that extends the zero rate of the IGIC for sanitary material and various economic activities on La Palma.
Matos, who will continue in Parliament in the XI Legislature as a deputy for the Socialist Group, has insisted that it has been “an honor” to share responsibilities with the deputies in “these difficult years” that will be remembered for a long time.
In this line, he has pointed out that they carry “in their backpack” the “satisfaction” that the canaries have felt “well represented” by Parliament due to the “attitude, spirit and commitment” of their lordships and wishes that “what same” with the Legislature that starts on June 27.
