The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fifede), has opened registration for the training course under the title Transport of Dangerous Goods by Roads-ADR.
The objective of this training, which is expected to begin next July, is to prepare a total of 20 unemployed people who are interested in working in this specialty.
The period to request registration will remain open until the 23rd of this month, through the Fifede website.
From the Cabildo they recalled that in order to drive vehicles that transport hazardous materials it is necessary to be in possession of a special authorization, which the driver must carry along with their corresponding driving license.
As they explained, the training will take place over 50 contact hours. First of all, it will be necessary to carry out a basic initial training of 20 hours. Once completed, the specialized training for the transport of tanks (10 hours), for the transport of explosive materials and objects (10 hours) and for the transport of radioactive products (10 hours) will continue.
Participants will also receive training in first aid and firefighting practices.
It will be taught within the framework of the Cabildo Emplea project, which is part of the Strategic Framework for Island Development (Medi) and which is co-financed by the Canary Islands Development Fund (Fdcan), according to statements from the Island Corporation.
