SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the area of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, will allocate an item of 325,000 euros to grant aid to cover the costs of reconversion of industrial and craft micro-enterprises and promote the circular economy on the island.
The Island Government Council approved at its meeting on Tuesday the bases and the call for this multi-year line of subsidies for 2023-2024 that contemplates the possibility of expanding the available credit by 200,000 euros.
The acting counselor for the area, Carmen Luz Baso, stated in a note that with these incentives they want to support an important sector in the diversification of the island economy, such as industry, so that it adapts its business model to the new regulations and market requirements and improve your profitability and efficiency.
In this sense, it details that the subsidies, which are aimed at both the self-employed and micro-enterprises, can be invested in improving production and distribution processes; business digitization and the development of actions in terms of sustainability and transition to a more efficient circular economy in the use of resources, with low emissions.
In accordance with the bases, the amount of the subsidy will be 70% of the investment made, with a maximum of 15,000 euros. In addition, a minimum investment of 3,000 euros will be required in the expenses considered eligible.
The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 calendar days from the day after publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (BOP).
Applications must be accompanied by the form specifically prepared by the Island Council of Tenerife, which is available to interested parties in the Procedures and Services section of its electronic headquarters. https://sede.tenerife.es,
Among the criteria that are valued when granting these aids is the size of the company; guarantee the maintenance of jobs; have employed persons with a certified disability of at least 33 percent; and contribute to environmental sustainability.
