The Council of Tenerife The Governing Council has approved the collaboration agreement with the Fasnia City Council for the improvement and conditioning of the Las Eras promenade, in the municipality of Fasnia, for an amount of 574,048 euros.

The acting insular Director of Tourism, Laura Castro, stated in a note that “this action will contribute to revitalize and revitalize the municipality’s coastal promenade, in order to continue offering quality, accessible and modern tourist public spaces, both to the resident population like the visitors.

Specifically, it details that “the project contemplates the replacement and homogenization of the pavement, the generation of new areas for staying and shade, the replacement of urban furniture, which presents significant deterioration, the renewal of the railings and the creation of an accessible route from the urban area to the beach”.

The island manager also recalls that Improvement works are being carried out on the Las Eras beach breakwater, “which is expected to be completed this summer and with which the accessibility and safety of bathers will be facilitated.”

Regarding the agreement on the promenade, the total investment amounts to 574,048 euros, of which 533,149 will be allocated to the work and 40,898 to project management.

The project will be 85% co-financed by the Cabildo and 15% by the Fasnia City Councilwhile the facultative direction will be assumed one hundred percent by the island corporation.

Its duration will be 48 months, including bidding, awarding and execution of contracts.

This performance is part of the program Tenerife and the sea of MEDI-FDCAN, which seeks to improve the island’s coastline under the principles of territorial balance, sustainability and solidarity.
