The PSOE and Unidas Sí Podemos have reached an agreement to govern the municipality of Los Silos as of June 17. The socialist Carmen Luz Baso will be the new mayoress, replacing the nationalist Macarena Fuentes (CC).
The PSOE won the elections last 28M and could govern with any of the other three political forces with municipal representation. After negotiating with PP and Podemos, and also meeting with CC, the Socialists have decided to formalize a pact with the other left-wing formation of the Silense Corporation, led by Andres Yoel Rodriguez.
Luz Baso confirms to EL DÍA that “We have a principle of governance agreement with USP, which we hope to formalize soon.” The leader of the local PP, Raquel González, who was the other alternative to the pact until the last moment for the PSOE stresses that “the PSOE has already reached an agreement with United We Canso from the opposition we will do the best possible, serious and responsible job for the municipality”.
