SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
PSOE, CC and PP have signed an agreement to govern in the municipality of Tazacorte, on the island of La Palma, after the results of the elections on May 28, in which Manuel González ‘Ico’ (PSOE) will be mayor during the first two years of the mandate, while David Ruiz (CC) will hold said position for the following biennium.
This was agreed by Manuel González, David Ruiz and Toni Santana (PP) who have stressed that it is an agreement established “on the basis of a consensus” of a joint project in favor of Tazacorte to “promote the socioeconomic development of the municipality in a context of serious difficulties derived from the volcanic eruption”, as stated by the three formations in a statement.
They have also highlighted the “importance” of carrying out a “new way of doing politics, fair and equitable,” for the citizens of Tazacorte, being “responsible in the management of public resources and with high vision to place the municipality in the place that it deserves in the insular context”.
They have also underlined the need to promote the reconstruction process with agricultural recovery as quickly as possible or by promoting tourism in the municipality to guarantee economic diversification and job creation in the municipality, as well as the reinforcement of social services. , the attention and care of people and facing the demand for housing, among other issues.
Regarding the distribution of government areas, they indicated that it will be known in the coming days and will be configured to guarantee “effective and efficient” management in favor of the citizenry.
