A neighbor who regularly goes to the Leoncio Oramas park, located in the capital’s neighborhood of somosierra, has wanted to denounce in DIARIO DE AVISOS a situation that worries him, especially for his grandson. According to his account, a person spends the night there practically every day, since May 22, on the benches located in the children’s area, leaving their bladder catheters with their respective collection bags full of urine, as well as feces and boxes of medicines. “This is a focus of infection,” he says.
She affirms that she is not the only resident of the neighborhood who is dissatisfied with the lack of solutions. “The Mobile Approach Unit has come; the Local Police, who drew up a report on the morning of May 27, and I have also passed the documentation to the Ofra District ”, she comments.
Although he acknowledges that the cleaning staff has intervened on occasion in this small space intended for the enjoyment of the little ones, he regrets that the problem persists. “On Canary Islands Day they cleaned with a pressure hose, but the next morning, before going to work, I found the same thing,” he stresses.
This neighbor insists that “the only thing we want is that you please find a place for this man, who is in a wheelchair, so that he can stay to sleep, because the children are going to continue playing in the park.” Also, she fears that the situation will worsen with the arrival of more people. “There are two coming,” she warns.
