HiperDino has finished the second edition of its educational project ‘A la mesa con HiperDino’reaching 1,740 schoolchildren in the 1st and 2nd year of Primary Education in Tenerife. This is the first time that the chain develops these workshops on this Island.
In total, 82 workshops have been held in 25 educational centers with themes focused on healthy eating, responsible consumption and recycling. During the 50-minute duration of each workshop, the boys and girls have learned by playing about healthy eating options, to consume responsibly and to recycle properly.
So, schoolchildren have been able to design a menu for a balanced diet; make the shopping list; look at the labels; know the ingredients, the nutritional value of food and the expiration date; manage the budget; make a correct separation of waste, and delve into new sustainable measures, among other contents.
The first edition of this project was held last year in Gran Canaria and it is expected that it will soon be able to reach the rest of the islands.
