The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Prosecutor’s Office has requested twelve years in prison for a man whom he accuses of having repeatedly sexually abused his underage nephew.
The defendant, with a criminal record not computable for these charges, was aware, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, that the young man was under 16 years of age, despite which he maintained these relationships repeatedly and on multiple occasions during 2018.
Apparently the events took place at the home of the minor’s grandmother, at the home of the defendant and in a caravan located on the farm of the grandfather of the victim. This situation only ceased to occur when the minor went to live in London, indicates the letter of the Prosecutor’s Office.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office maintains that all the assumptions are given to suspect that it is facing an alleged continued crime of sexual abuse of a child under 16 years of age, of which the accused would be the alleged perpetrator.
The prohibition of approaching the young man, his home, workplace, studies or any other that was frequented by him at a distance of less than 500 meters during the 15 years after his release from prison is also requested, in which he will not be able to communicate with the alleged victim.
In the event that a conviction is confirmed, it is considered necessary to impose a probation measure on the defendant consisting of the obligation to participate in a sexual education orientation program for ten years.
Likewise, the defendant would be imposed the penalty of disqualification from being able to carry out any profession or trade, whether or not paid, that involves regular and direct contact with minors, all this for a decade, after the conclusion of the investigation. deprivation of freedom.
