SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 of Güímar has filed the complaint filed by Pedro Hernández, councilor and Canary Islands Coalition candidate in the Fasnia City Council, against the mayor, Luis Javier González, for alleged irregular hiring.

The judge agrees to the dismissal and assures in the order that “from the investigative procedures carried out, it is evident that there are no rational indications of the commission of a criminal offense,” collects a note from the PSOE.

The same mayor of Fasnia, after his statement and that of the municipal comptroller secretary, requested the file of the complaint when it became clear that there has been no irregularity.

From the outset, the Socialists point out, Luis Javier González made it clear that this was a “totally unjustified complaint, without any type of legal support, without indications of criminality.”

Along these lines, they state that the complaint “did not respond more than to a use of justice with an electoral nature in the face of the last elections of May 28, where González was re-elected with an absolute majority as mayor.”

The judge shows that in view of the documentation provided “the commission of any criminal act cannot be evidenced” and remarks that “the approved decrees are limited to specific aspects related to the problem of water supply, repair of municipal vehicles and playful celebrations of the Town Hall”.

In this sense, the motivation for which the contracting has been carried out is indicated, either due to the specific contracting of the act in question, due to the special need of the moment or due to the needs of the contracted service.

From the declaration of the municipal comptroller secretary it is also clear that “for 17 years the contracting has been carried out in an identical way to the current one”, they point out from the PSOE.

In fact, he points out that “the contracting is carried out in this way since it is the only possible one given the resources available to the Fasnia City Council” and recalls that “no complaint has ever been received by the Court of Accounts, for the General Directorate of Public Function, the Government Sub-delegation, or any other control body”.

In turn, the comptroller secretary has shown that “the complainant political group has always been able to appeal the decrees” but, nevertheless, “they have never requested their annulment.”

The Socialists stress that “by chance, the complaint occurred a few weeks after the municipal elections last May” and objections were only filed in the last six months, only those referring to the period as mayor of Luis Javier González, ” a demonstration that there has been no interest other than the electoral desire”.
