SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has presented Sport Summit today, Monday, a fair that will combine sport, health and well-being at the Fairgrounds between June 8 and 10. This free admission event will offer stands and activities of interest to both industry professionals and amateurs. In addition, it will be the delivery point for the Tenerife Bluetrail bib numbers, which will be held on Saturday June 10 and can be followed from the fair itself.
The acting Island Councilor for Sports, Concepción Rivero, and the director of Lava Sports Group, which organizes the event, Víktor Rodríguez, have presented the details of this fair, which also has the support of the Cabildo’s Socioeconomic Development area, directed by acting counselor Carmen Luz Baso.
During the presentation, Concepción Rivero pointed out that “the fair will have around 100 stands and more than thirty activities including exhibitions, workshops, activities and competitions of the different sports modalities”.
In addition, he highlighted that “during Thursday the 8th and Friday the 9th we will deliver the numbers for the Tenerife Bluetrail, in which more than 2,000 runners from 33 countries have already registered. The stand of this competition will also have a team of psychologists from the Official College of Psychology of Santa Cruz de Tenerife who will care for runners free of charge to optimize their mental state for the test and thus improve results”.
For his part, the director of Lava Sports Group, Viktor Rodríguez, highlighted some events on the schedule such as “the official Iberian Throwdown crossfit competition, which in this edition has reached record participation, the Deka Strong Challenge Spartan challenge that will award prizes to the three athletes who achieve the best marks, or the Sprint Masters test of 100 meters of ninja-style obstacles, which will be held in the outer space of the enclosure”.
In this sense, Rodríguez indicated that “it is the first time that a space has been set up for the nautical sector, which will have more than 1,500 square meters of space.”
It is also worth mentioning the Green Sport Flag Forum on sport and the environment, which will raise awareness about achieving sustainability through physical activity, or the Project releases a square meter against garbage, which tries to reduce the waste found in natural spaces.
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the public company Ideco, will be present at the fair with stands linked to several of its sports centers and programs such as the Tenerife Santa Cruz-Ofra Sports Complex, the Tenerife Motor Circuit, the of Athletics of Tenerife (CIAT) and the Sports Activity Plan for Social Inclusion (PADIS), in addition to the prominent space that the Tenerife Bluetrail will occupy.
