SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has preventively activated the Insular Emergency Plan (PEIN) today, Tuesday, as a result of the wind and rain alert declared by the Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands.
This preventive activation is carried out to ensure the safety of citizens, taking into account the level of prevention that goes hand in hand with the declaration of alert. As of 3:30 p.m. today, there have been no notable incidents on the island.
The preventive activation of the PEIN implies an express monitoring of the meteorological phenomenon, as well as that the island media and resources are pre-alerted in case their intervention is required.
