The Canarian journalist Pepi Déniz, who was part of the founding team of Europa Press Canarias, died this Monday at the age of 49 as a result of a cardiorespiratory arrest, leaving behind a husband and a 6-year-old son.
Pepi Déniz (Teror, Gran Canaria) began his career as a journalist at ‘Diario de Avisos’ and in 2008 he joined the Europa Press agency on the occasion of its opening in the Canary Islands, working at its headquarters in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and specializing in on society issues.
In 2011, she became the press officer of the Ministry of Employment, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, a position she held until 2013 after the resignation of the counselor, Margarita Ramos. Since then, she has devoted herself to teaching.
His former colleagues highlight Pepi Déniz for his joviality and the good atmosphere that he always generated, as well as his great professionalism.
