Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are the islands with the lowest rate of job seekers

The islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura They are the ones with the lowest rate of job seekers registered in Canary Islandsaccording to data from the Registered Active Population Statistics corresponding to the last quarter of 2022 made public by the Canarian Institute of Statistics.

The rate of job seekers in Lanzarote was then 12% and that of Fuerteventura was 12.2%. On the contrary, the islands of Gran Canariawith 19.4%, and that of Tenerifewith 18.2%, are the ones with the highest rate of claimants.

Regarding the municipal level, the five lowest rates of registered job seekers are in Yaiza (8.5%), Teguise (9.4%), bird (9.7%), aunts (10.2%) and San Bartolome (10.3%).

The five municipalities with the highest rates of job seekers are Icod de los Vinos (22.7%), Moya (22.4%), The Village of San Nicolás (22.3%), La Victoria de Acentejo (22.1%) and Garafía (21.9%).

The Registered Active Population Statistics collects and analyzes data on employment, unemployment and other indicators related to the registered active population in the Canary Islands on a suburban scale, such as the rate of municipal job seekers and the rate of youth job seekers, the basic indicators of the number of employed and unemployed and the temporary rate, among others.
