The Local Police of La Laguna have arrested a 68-year-old man after trying to stab his 72-year-old ex-partner on the afternoon of this past Thursday during a dance at the Guamasa Citizen Center.
The detainee is accused of a crime of attempted homicide with aggravated gender violence.
The victim suffered a cut to the neck and was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands, with a reserved prognosis, although her life is not in danger, the police force said on its Twitter account.
