They restrict the consumption of tap water in La Guancha due to “critical” levels in the deposits

The acting mayor of La Guancha, Antonio Hernández, announced this Wednesday the restriction until further notice on the consumption of water tap for the entire populationboth for drinking and for cook or prepare food, before “critical” levels presented by the deposits.

Hernández, reports the local corporation in a statement, has ordered stop the desalination of part of the water that enters the tanks to incorporate raw water and thus be able to recover the levels as soon as possible.

The Department of Water of the local Administration tries to guarantee the supply to all residents for the development of domestic tasks and personal hygieneavoiding “a greater problem for the population in general”, adds the note.

The priority, the councilor points out, is that “there is no lack of water in any home”, and he advances that Analyzes will be carried out next week to determine whether the restriction should continue for the entire population or not.

These analyzes, he clarifies, cannot be carried out immediately because we have to wait for the homogenization process of the treated and untreated water, which began to enter the tanks this Wednesday.
