The heliport of the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital, in Tenerife, will be in service 24 hours a day from this Thursday, as reported by the Ministry of Health.
Until now, the heliport, which has served 419 people in the last three years, only operated during the day.
The medicalized helicopter of the Canary Islands Emergency Service, which uses this heliport, intervenes both in primary incidents, be they emergencies or traffic accidents, and in secondary ones, such as transfers between hospitals or between islands for patients who need specialized assistance.
