The Minors and Family Operational Unit (UMEFA) of the General Corps of the Canarian Police (CGPC) investigates, in coordination with the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, a group made up of three minors, for an alleged crime of sexual assault on a minor under 13 years of age committed on a beach in the south of Tenerife, close to a nightlife area.
According to police sources, there are clear indications that a crime of sexual assault has been committed against the victim, 13 years old. The facts were brought to the attention of the agents after the complaint filed by the father of the minor last March.
The group sexual assault occurred on a beach in the south of Tenerife in the wee hours of the morninga, to which the victim, in a state of drunkenness or under the influence of some drug, was taken by the group of young people, who were arrested and investigated to clarify the role they played in said sexual assault, as well as their relationship among them.

Investigators have had sufficient evidence that peripherally corroborates the version given by the minor victim, such as statements by eyewitnesses, or the conversations provided by her with one of her aggressors after suffering the attack. Even, the possibility is being considered that the events had been recorded by one of the aggressors, a circumstance that has not been confirmed so far.
For his part, the victim who has had episodes of anxiety after the group aggressionhas, according to the police version, clear indicators of neglect, which has led to the transfer of the matter to the General Directorate for Protection of Childhood and Family, in order to provide adequate and immediate protection. The investigation, carried out by the General Corps of the Canary Islands Police through the Minors and Family Unit (UMEFA), is still in progress.
