The National Police, in an operation against drug trafficking, has arrested two brothers aged 37 and 46 as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health. The police operation is concluded with the intervention of more than 4 kilograms of hashish intended for retail distribution, mainly in the Ofra neighborhood of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The investigators of the National Police, in the framework of the investigations carried out to suppress the trafficking of narcotic substances, learned of the existence of a drug sales point managed by two middle-aged brothers in Ofra.
The investigations confirmed that these people, in places difficult to access for the uniformed patrols of the National Police, sold narcotic substances to those buyers with whom they had previously contacted.
The agents, after obtaining the corresponding judicial authorization, proceeded to enter and search an address located in said neighborhood. The alleged perpetrators of the investigated drug trafficking were arrested in this house and more than 4 kilograms of hashish were seized, divided into 77 pills of 50 grams each, as well as bladed weapons and other objects dangerous to the physical integrity of people.
The detainees, after giving a statement at police stations, were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which determined their entry into preventive detention.
