SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE/MADRID, May 30. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Canary Islands have received 2,306 million euros up to May in payments on account of the regional financing system, out of a total of 51,398 million euros, an amount that places the Archipelago as the eighth region that has received the most money among all the ccaa .
Catalonia continues to be the community that has received the most money throughout 2023 from the funds that the Ministry of Finance has distributed as deliveries on account of the regional financing system. Specifically, it has received 9,960 million, for the 9,592 million that Andalusia has received and the 7,180 million euros from the Community of Madrid.
Payment of deliveries on account is made monthly, through two payments to the autonomous communities under the common regime and to the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla: one at the beginning of the month and another at the end. Specifically, in May the territorial entities have entered 10,280 million euros.
After Catalonia, Andalusia and Madrid are the Valencian Community (4,817 million); Galicia (3,626 million), Castilla y León (3,150 million); Castilla-La Mancha (2,444 million); Canary Islands (2,306 million); Aragon (1,767 million); Murcia (1,576 million); Extremadura (1,489 million); Asturias (1,328 million); Balearic Islands (1,028 million); Cantabria (892 million); La Rioja (481 million); Ceuta (18 million) and Melilla (14 million).
The regional financing system operates through deliveries on account of tax resources that are estimated to enter throughout the year as personal income tax and the percentages established by law for VAT and Excise Taxes and that the State advances.
