The emergency services have rescued a 77-year-old fisherman who fell several meters high from a ladder onto a rocky area in the Tenerife municipality of El Sauzal, the 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center reported.
A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) went to the scene of the incident, in the Rojas area, whose rescuers accessed the affected person and, together with members of the Tenerife Fire Consortium and the Local Police, gave him the first Attention, they hoisted him onto the aircraft and evacuated him to the Tenerife Norte airport.
Once on land, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service assisted the fisherman and transferred him to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands, where he was admitted with moderate polycontusions.
