The Chaxiraxi Musical Group has regretted this Tuesday the death of its beloved founder Laly on this significant day, Canary Islands Day. With deep regret, they have confirmed that they wake up today with the worst news, “a sadness that extends to all corners of our group.”
Laly was the fundamental pillar of the Chaxiraxi Musical Grouphis alma mater and inspiring engine: “Without her, we would not be here today, sharing our music and passion for the Canary Islands. For many of us, she was not only an exceptional leader, but also a mother, a friend, and most of all, a great person.”

Bermúdez highlighted Laly’s dedication to the city’s traditions and expressed the debt that Santa Cruz will always owe to this exceptional woman. In recognition of her work, Laly was deserving of the City of Santa Cruz-Día de Canarias awardgranted by the city council.
