The Popular Party has announced on Monday the creation of a commission, made up of the candidate for Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Carlos Tarife, Zaida González, Carmen Pérez and Andrés Rodríguez, members of the electoral list, to begin negotiating a possible government pact in the municipality.
The popular, with five councillors, will hold meetings this Wednesday with the socialist and nationalist teams.
Canary Coalition has lost the elections in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council for the first time, going from the 10 councilors it had in 2019 to a total of nine. The socialist Patricia Hernández thus becomes the winner of these elections by achieving a total of ten representatives in the institution and thus winning the fight against the list of José Manuel Bermúdez.
However, Vox bursts into the institution with three councilors and the PP grows by going from having three councilors to a total of five. Therefore, Bermúdez could govern again if he seals an agreement with the PP like the one he has carried out in recent years.
