SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 26. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Popular Party candidate for Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Carlos Tarife, has stated as one of his electoral proposals the revitalization of nightlife in the capital, with measures such as the recovery of summer terraces in different parts of the city .
Carlos Tarife pointed out that what cannot be “is that young people have to go to La Laguna, to the south or north of the island to be able to have fun”, for which he promised to recover the nightlife areas and summer terraces In this city.
On this, the councilor spoke of possible locations for those areas, “such as the old Jet-Foil Station; the back of the Palmetum as part of the Tinglados project, where restaurants or beach bars could be built behind that idyllic situation towards the sea would not generate any noise in those areas of the city and agree with the Port Authority to recover them in the Fishing Dock with free public transport”. “What is needed is a mayor who will give it enough impetus,” he added.
The candidate indicated that he wants young people “to be able to have fun in the city.” That is why today he was accompanied in a meeting with the media by the youngest person in his candidacy, Daniel, 18 years old. Tarife commented that the future of the city “has to have fun in Santa Cruz and not have to choose between going to the south or to the nearest city like La Laguna.” “Those of us who are parents and many grandparents must be able to sleep peacefully because our young people are not on the roads on those nights when they go out to have fun far from the city because in Santa Cruz there are hardly any places to go,” he added.
“AN ALLY OF SANTA CRUZ”.
Carlos Tarife took advantage of the appearance to comment that the Port Authority “has to be an ally of Santa Cruz and not an enemy, as happens in a facility like the old Jet-Foil Station, where citizens cannot access because there are some fences that the socialist authorities have put in place, managed by the Port Authority, with the approval of Ángel Víctor Torres and Patricia Hernández and for which Mr. Bermúdez has not fought”.
In this sense, Tarife affirmed that he is committed, as he has already stated on several occasions, that the chicharreros can “approach the sea, open Santa Cruz to the sea.” “We have absolutely clear projects in the Añaza area, Cabo Llanos, in the Los Llanos Dock, in the Old Jet-Foil Station and, of course, in Valleseco, San Andrés and María Jiménez,” he stated.
