The Civil Guard investigates whether the puncture of Rosa Dávila’s car was intentional

The Civil Guard investigate whether the puncture suffered yesterday by the vehicle in which he was traveling Rosa Davilacandidate for Canarian Coalition to the Presidency of the Cabildo of Tenerifean electoral act was premeditated. As Dávila reported and the agents commented in a first inspection of the car, there are indications that it was not an accidental event, but rather that someone was able to place a screw in the wheel that would end up causing it to deflate.

The events occurred yesterday at 9:00 in the morning, when Rosa Dávila was going to the municipality of San Juan de la Rambla, together with a CC comrade, in a rented vehicle made available to the candidate for the electoral campaign.

The driver noticed that something was wrong and stopped the car at a gas station located at the exit of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. When he got out to check what was happening, found that the right rear tire had deflated due to a screw that was stuck. From there he was transported by crane to a workshop located in front of Los Rodeos.

The discovery in the head of the screw nailed to the tire of a substance that looked like glue made the occupants of the vehicle, the driver, Rosa Dávila and the fellow party member who accompanied her, suspicious. This suspicion was corroborated by the Civil Guard agents who came to inspect the car. The body is now investigating whether it could have been an intentional act.

The navy blue vehicle is rented and has been used by the applicant for about two months. It has no insignia on its body, neither stickers nor electoral propaganda that identifies its use by Coalición Canaria, although «said vehicle is known by the vast majority of citizenslike his public figure »as stated by the nationalist candidate at the time of filing the complaint at the Civil Guard offices located in Icod de los Vinos.

The Civil Guard proceeding states that the vehicle was parked on the public highway of La Laguna during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, until 8:30 a.m., at which time the driver took the usual route to pick up Rosa Dávila. in order to move to the electoral act of CC in San Juan de la Rambla.
