SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 25. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, has signed this Thursday the dismissal of José Ángel Martín as adviser to the Island Corporation after being arrested for an alleged assault on a manager of the San José Tablero football club, according to official sources from the institution.
José Ángel Martín was arrested yesterday afternoon by the Local Police, and placed at the disposal of the National Police, after allegedly assaulting the club manager, in the presence of his son –team soccer coordinator– as a result of a violent discussion with the socialist candidate after a visit to the El Tablero Sports Center.
The PSOE candidate for Mayor, Patricia Hernández, has also communicated José Ángel Martín’s decision to resign from all the positions he holds or will hold when he takes possession of his act as councilor after next Sunday’s elections.
