SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 25. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Canary Islands Coalition (CC) has requested the dismissal of José Ángel Martín, number two on the PSOE list, as adviser to the Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a football club manager San José Tablero, sources from the nationalist formation point out to Europa Press.
Martín was arrested this Wednesday afternoon by the Local Police, and placed at the disposal of the National Police, after allegedly assaulting the club’s manager, in the presence of his son –the team’s soccer coordinator– as a result of a violent discussion because Martín, in the company of other members of the electoral board, wanted to take images of the state of conservation of the facilities.
As a result of the alleged attack, the victim is hospitalized at the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC) with a fractured tibia, ankle and fibula and is waiting to be operated on.
