He Council of Tenerife yesterday awarded the company Trazas Ingeniería SL the drafting of the project for an underground passage at the height of ravine ruizwhich will allow traffic to be reordered and provide a definitive and safe solution for entering and leaving the La Rambla neighborhood, in San Juan de la Rambla, from the Autopista del Norte (TF-5). A solution that last year was agreed with the residents of this ramblero nucleus, represented on the platform All with the Rambla We Are Alland the mayor, Ezequiel Domínguez.
This was confirmed by the insular president, Pedro Martín, when asked about this neighborhood lawsuit that has been going on for more than four decades and that the public has not stopped denouncing due to the security problems that it entails, both for drivers and pedestrians. .
The works will allow solving the inconveniences that the crossing presents. For this, a detailed study is required to allow the execution of a link that solves the current connection needs, as established in the company’s action proposal.
“It is the most expensive solution, since its cost will not be less than three million euros, and the one that will take the longest, but it is the best and the one that offers the greatest security guarantees”, adds Pedro Martín.
The Cabildo reached an agreement with the Government of the Canary Islands to take charge of the work and not waste more time debating which administration was responsible. “We have assumed the commitment and, finally, the drafting of a project has been awarded, the solution of which is not easy, due to the orography of the land and the fact that the road runs through protected natural spaces where no action can be taken”, declares the island president.
