SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 21. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The PSOE candidate for re-election as president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has highlighted the Highway Agreement as one of the examples that the Socialists are the party that “solves” the problems.
This was revealed this Sunday during a visit to the works of the Oroteanda-Las Chafiras highway together with the candidate for the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín.
“The Socialist Party’s proposal for the next four years is to solve problems. In 2019 we reached the Government of the Canary Islands and we had a problem with the roads, a conflict with the Government of Spain and a sentence that, however, we have saved 100% of the funds, which are 1,000 million euros without having to go to execution of the sentence”, explained Torres
Torres made special emphasis here that this has allowed us to go from 1,200 million euros to carry out works in the Canary Islands to 1,600 million.
“And it has allowed us to have -he continued- works in execution. We are not talking about works in project, but works that are being executed”.
At this point, the candidate explained that the PSOE is aware of the connectivity problems of the different islands. “That is why we have promoted many works that are underway and others that are with impact statements that will soon begin,” he added.
“Therefore, the proposal for the next four years is what the citizens want, to continue resolving problems as we have done with the road agreement,” he concluded.
