During the coming winter, the flag carrier of the Baltic States, Air Balticwill establish connections between Tenerife and the three Baltic capitals: Tallinn, Vilnius and Rigaas well as with the Finnish city of Tampere.
Air Baltic representatives informed the Tenerife Tourism delegation, which recently attended the Routes Europe connectivity fair in Lodz, Poland, according to a statement from the Cabildo.
As of October 30, Air Baltic will connect the island with Tallinn (Estonia), followed by Vilnius (Lithuania) from October 31, and with Tampere (Finland) from November 1. All these routes will have two weekly flights.
These new routes are added to the already established connection with Riga, which began in September 2021 and has increased from three to five weekly flights.
On the other hand, Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), the flag carrier of the Nordic countries, also informed the Tenerife delegation of the strengthening of its operations on the island.
As of October 8, SAS will add the Norwegian cities of Bergen and Stavenger to its destinations, both on a weekly basis.
In addition, Wizz Air representatives announced the addition of a new route with Gdansk (Poland) starting on October 29. This connection will be available throughout the year and will have two weekly flights.
The Tenerife delegation that attended the Routes Europe fair also held meetings with airlines such as Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air France, ITA, Iberia, Air Transat, Air Baltic, Lot Polish, Norwegian, Swiss Air Lines, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines and TAP Portugal.
