The Santiago del Teide City Council has approved the start of the contracting file for the execution of the works corresponding to the basic and execution project for the reform of the center for the elderly and the youth center in the area of La Vigilia in Puerto de Santiago, which will have a budget of €1,020,681.52 and an execution period of 8 months divided into three phases.
Regarding the execution of the works corresponding to the part of the youth center, it should be noted that at the time an agreement was approved between the city council and the Cabildo through which the latter would contribute the amount of €344,449.08 for said work of the part of the youth center
The objective of these actions is to intervene on an existing building between Calle La Tosca and Calle Herrador, creating several spaces that allow a correct connection between the different areas as well as the improvement, conditioning and provision of both centers. It is also about improving the external appearance of these municipal facilities, giving them a more up-to-date and modern appearance, which serves as an attraction for the residents of the nucleus and which confers an identity to this important nerve center of activity in Puerto de Santiago.
