Nine entities have formalized this Wednesday their adherence to the ‘II Tenerife Violeta Strategic Framework 2020-2025 (II METV)’.
The CEO of Equality and Prevention of Gender Violence of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Priscila de León, highlights the importance of this adherence to the actions and policies of an island environment that are being promoted by entities, administrations and groups, among others , in terms of equal opportunities between women and men.
Thus, there are already 101 public and private entities that are integrated under this framework, to work together, collects a note from the Cabildo.
For Priscila de León, combining efforts and going hand in hand “is the best way to coordinate actions that are effective, adjusted to the different realities and problems, through a participatory and open model.”
In this way, this Wednesday the associations Alis Canarias, Mamachama, Fundación Canaria Doctor Barajas, Compartiendo Metas, Sumas, Asociación Benéfica NGO Ser Humano, Asocide, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción and Coca Cola Europacifics Partners have joined this Strategic Framework.
Through this adhesion, these groups assume the commitment to promote actions that favor equal treatment and opportunities, and work collaboratively to end inequalities, discrimination and gender violence.
The objective is to address different strategic axes on the island, to improve the well-being and quality of life of women, and address their personal development from different areas, such as work, education, culture, youth or sports.
