SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 17. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Prosecutor’s Office requests a 40-year prison sentence for the man who stabbed his parents to death in the family home in San Miguel de Abona on the night of March 11, 2020.
The summary, collected by Europa Press, indicates that the man, who had already been convicted on several occasions for domestic violence and lived with his parents, had consumed ‘crack’ and argued with them because they did not give him money.
Therefore, he took a knife with a 15-centimeter blade and while his father was in the bathroom, he attacked his mother with two stab wounds to the chest and another to the side to finally slit her throat.
Subsequently, he attacked his father, who had just come out of the bathroom half-naked, and stabbed him another five times in the chest until he fell to the ground and cut his neck.
After committing the alleged murders, the man changed his clothes and shoes, took the money that was in the house, the keys to his father’s car and closed the house, marching towards a place where he got rid of the bloody clothes and the murder weapon. in a dumpster.
From there he went to the Fraile neighborhood, in the municipality of Arona, where he had met a prostitute and on the way to Guaza he threw away the keys to the house to end up wandering around the Médano and Las Chafiras area until he turned himself in to the Civil Guard and acknowledged the facts.
The Prosecutor’s Office considers that the facts constitute two crimes of murder and also requests ten years of probation and compensation of 300,000 euros for each of his two brothers.
It also maintains the provisional detention measure communicated and without bail due to the risk of escape and destruction of evidence.
The trial, with a Jury Court, starts next Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the fifth section of the Provincial Court.
