Blas Rivero brilliantly proclaimed himself the winner of the Canary Islands absolute road championship. The Z2 Bike team from Gran Canaria was the fastest to cover the two laps of the 38-kilometre circuit that passed through the municipalities of Santa Lucia de Tirajana and Agüimes, investing a time of three hours, 13 minutes and one second. In it female section, victory rested with Andrea Pérez Figueroa from Tenerifeof the Cantabria Sports-Río Miera team.

Nearly 200 runners, distributed among the different categories in contention, gathered at this Canary Islands Championship-GP of Saint Lucia. The organization was carried out by the CC Iduna de Vecindario, the Canarian Federation and the Federation of Gran Canaria, with the collaboration of the local Town Hall, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Council of Gran Canaria.
