The fifth edition of La Molienda in Barranco Grande once again brought together thousands of residents, some 4,500, on the soccer field, where, once again, the youngest were the main stars. From four in the afternoon until nine at night, the children were able to enjoy a dozen outdoor activities. The Santa Cruz City Council, through the Southwest district office, headed by Councilor Javier Rivero, also responsible for the Citizen Participation area, was responsible for the design of this day, which served as a preview of the celebration on Monday of the Day International Family, the true protagonists of the day yesterday Saturday.
The little ones were able to enjoy a giant American adventure tower and track for the whole family; inflatables, toy library, dynamic-sports activities, archery, video game area, arcade area, etc., as well as a rest area for eating and drinking, as well as performances with children’s and action characters, and a photocall point.
And it is that even the ghostbusters decided to join the party with a Michelin doll included, which delighted the attendees. But the meeting also served to give voice and visibility to all types of families that exist. That is why the Activoz association was present, an entity that offers a playful alternative for families with functional diversity, since they seek to promote an active life as well as offer a leisure space without barriers.
Precisely for this reason they organize different workshops, sports activities, excursions, etc. and precisely yesterday, at La Molienda they exhibited the work they carry out in their workshops called ImpresionaT.
The mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, stressed that “it is always a satisfaction to see all the families enjoying an afternoon of leisure, participation and fun in an enclave that has so many children and young people.”
