SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 12. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The University Hospital Complex of the Canary Islands (HUC), attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, has published a new ‘Welcome Guide for Patients and Families’ with the aim of improving information for users who come to the health center.
This publication, carried out by the User Service, represents an expansion of the informative document that until now was delivered to patients, with new content and a complete review and update of all sections. This document is published on the hospital website and, during the patient’s admission, the QR code is also provided to facilitate access.
The goal is for this new guide to reach all patients who are treated at the health center, especially those who require admission. In this way, it is intended that users know the operation of the services offered.
This new informative manual includes information on the Management and Assistance Area, the reference services, the most relevant activities of the medical and Nursing services, as well as other specific activities such as the Blood Bank, the Congenital Metabolic Diseases Unit, Donation of Organs and Tissues and Bone Marrow.
It also includes information on the Hospital Commissions, Emergencies, and a graphic directory on the distribution of the different services in the buildings that make up the Hospital.
The publication is completed with the Letter of Rights and Duties of the User of the Canary Islands Health Service, Protection of Personal Data and the Advance Manifestations of will in the health system, among others.
