The Autonomous Communities of Andalusia, Catalonia and Madrid jointly constituted almost six out of every ten companies created.

Company incorporations increased by 2.2% in April compared to the same month of the previous year, up to a total of 8,807 companies, thus confirming four consecutive months of increase in 2023. This recovery began in the last four-month period of 2022, when positive and negative data alternated, after five consecutive months of falls.

By autonomous community, six out of every ten new companies in April were set up in Madrid, Catalonia and Andalusia. Nine regions cut the number of companies created in April in the interannual rate, especially Extremadura, Cantabria and Galicia. In contrast, eight raised the constitution of companies, mainly Castilla y León, the Valencian Community and the Canary Islands.
