BEYOND THE AWARDS
With 180 participants from 26 registered countries, the ‘Premios Quirino’ Co-Production and Business Forum will once again be the great meeting point for Ibero-American animation professionals.
Among the more than 120 registered companies there are producers, distributors, sales agencies, television channels and streaming platforms. Over two days, the Forum will organize more than 1,200 meetings with the aim of promoting co-production, development and circulation of works and projects.
For the second consecutive year, the Forum will host a meeting of Ibero-American public television stations to reflect on their programming, acquisition and co-production policies for animated content.
The event will also host the meeting of the working group for the animation of European public television, a meeting organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) with the collaboration of RTVE.
To close these activities, the Ibero-American and European public television stations will hold a meeting with the aim of promoting the circulation of animated content between both regions.
The platform will also serve as a framework for the launch of Ibermedia Next, a new program of the Ibermedia Program that has the collaboration of the Quirino Awards and La Liga de Animación.
The initiative is aimed at companies from Spain, Italy or Portugal that co-develop innovative animation projects together with companies or creators from the Ibero-American region.
Another highlight in the program is the Women in Ibero-American Animation roundtable, a space created to analyze the challenges faced by women in Ibero-American animation, which this year celebrates its fifth edition. The activity will have the participation of the finalists of the Animation! South Window and MIANIMA.
