From the Municipal Services area of the La Laguna City Council, a file is being processed, with a tender budget of 900,000 euros, for the implementation of measures for the energy reduction of outdoor lighting with LED technology on the streets and avenues of the municipality included in the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (Edusi) of La Laguna, Neighborhood Heritage. Specifically, the scope of action of this strategy is made up of a dozen neighborhoods in La Cuesta and Taco.
Likewise, as explained from the Area, the file is being processed through a negotiated procedure without publicity, via urgent processing, in accordance with the provisions of article 30 of Royal Decree-Law 14/2022, of August 1, on sustainability measures. in the field of transport, in terms of scholarships and study aid, as well as saving measures, energy efficiency and reduction of energy dependence on natural gas, as detailed, which will reduce their management terms.
Thus, from the area three bidders have been invited to the contracting procedure and the process is in the award phase, although it has not yet been formalized, they pointed out.
Specifically, this project will proceed with the incorporation of consumption reducers and the programming of the reduction of light intensity, as well as the installation of consumption remote control. Likewise, the centers will be equipped with presence or automation controllers to turn the lighting on and off, as explained by the Area.
An energy audit of the area will also be carried out, according to the criteria of the Energy Saving Plan, to estimate residential, mobility, business and public service consumption.
As well as the maintenance and renovation of the electrical panel and exterior installations of municipal offices, to increase the energy efficiency of the affected structures.
The Edusi Patrimonio de Barrios, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (Feder) of the EU, under the slogan A way of making Europe, with 15 million -to which must be added the almost three contributed by the City Council-, is aimed at promoting the development of various improvement actions in twelve neighborhoods of Taco and La Cuesta, which must be completed before December 31, 2023.
