Arona is a pioneer municipality in Canary Islands in treatment and action against addictions. Its first plan dates from 1999. During the validity of the fourth, between 2019 and 2022, it reached 6,000 students in Early Childhood and Primary Education and 4,000 in Secondary. They are joined by 1,218 mothers and fathers who were supported in the educational task of their children, and 3,000 people who were reached in specific awareness actions.
