A 30-year-old climber was seriously injured this Friday afternoon when a stone fell on his head in the La Galería climbing area, in Icor, within the municipality of Arico (Tenerife).
As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112, the man suffered a serious head injury, for which he was evacuated by GES rescue helicopter to Tenerife North Airport and from there to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC). ) in a medicalized ambulance.
Firefighters transferred the injured person to the place where the air resource could access, while a rural guard and Tamadaya Civil Protection collaborated with the emergency services.
