SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 4. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Government of the Canary Islands has approved this Thursday, at the proposal of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning, to recover the salary reduction of five percent that in 2010 was applied to the personnel of the commercial company Gestur Canarias, SA, an entity dependent on the Ministry directed by José Antonio Valbuena.
This decision comes after the collective agreement agreed on March 15 contemplated the restoration, by five percent, of the amounts of the concepts of base salary, extraordinary payments and seniority with effect from January 1, 2022.
Thus, after analyzing the financial situation and the data on the surplus/deficit of the company in the latest reports, the public company Gestur complies with the principles of budgetary stability and financial sustainability, so that this recovery can be applied, stresses the Executive in a note.
The 2010 salary reduction was approved in order to reduce the public deficit through the modification of Law 13/2009, of December 28, on the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for the year 2010.
