The objective is to help the associations maintain their social activity and continue to strengthen the Tenerife associative fabric.
The insular Corporation proposes with this economic endowment to contribute to cover the current expenses derived from the management of the groups of the third sector and collaborate so that they can maintain their social activity on the Island. Said amount will be distributed in equal parts among the entities that attend the call and meet the requirements set forth in the bases.
maximum amount
The maximum amount for each entity that requests it will be 6,200 euros. It is provided as economic support intended mainly to cover management and maintenance expenses of the operating structures, among other essential needs to continue developing its projects and actions. Precisely, management and maintenance are the two fundamental aspects for these groups
key function
The island’s CEO for Citizen Participation and Diversity, Nauzet Gugliotta, highlighted the role played by third sector entities in Tenerife society. Above all, because they go where the administrations often cannot.
For Gugliotta, the third sector is one of the great values that Tenerife and the citizens that inhabit it have. He considers that his role is fundamental and that thanks to his work, he contributes to alleviating the situation, difficulties and needs of many people and groups from different fields and problems. A fundamental resource that had its revalidation in the times of the covid-19 pandemic. So they were key to structuring a society in an extreme situation.
The application submission period will remain open until the next day 19. For the development of the actions, the entities will have an execution period of one year, from June 1, 2023 to June 1, 2024.
selective criteria
For the granting of the subsidies of this call, the beneficiaries will be taken into account, among other criteria, the number of those who are associated, as well as the projects and actions they carry out. Through the Tenerife Isla Solidaria program, dependent on Sinpromi, all the information and advice is offered to the entities that require it for the processing of aid.
rising data
The Tenerife Isla Solidaria program, dependent on Sinpromi, currently has 615 affiliated volunteer entities and 3,447 volunteers.
Its objective is to continue implementing volunteering in Tenerife, through actions that take advantage of the talent of the citizens and promote their participation in the affairs of social and community life, as well as helping entities so that they can maintain the solidarity activity that they carry out on the Island and optimize their services.
The insular program has already celebrated 25 years of promoting solidarity work in Tenerife. It has become a benchmark for other administrations and a stimulus for more people to join in offering their services as volunteers. In addition, its solidity guarantees a clear vocation for continuity, above the political ups and downs.
