A 55-year-old woman of Polish nationality had to be rescued by helicopter this Monday after feeling unwell while hiking in the Masca ravine, in Buenavista del Norte (Tenerife), according to 112 sources.
After being rescued, the woman, who had a moderate health problem that prevented her from continuing the march, was transferred to the La Guancha helipad, where an ambulance was waiting that evacuated her to the Hospital del Norte.
The rescue service involved members of the Tenerife Fire Brigade, who took the woman by land to the air evacuation point.
Due to her condition, the professionals from the Canary Islands Emergency Service who treated her decided to evacuate her to the Hospital del Norte.
